Mark received his Bachelor of Science (BS) and Master of Science (MS) in Accounting/Taxation from the University of Virginia (UVa). After graduating from UVa Mark began his financial career with a big five accounting firm, where he provided financial planning and tax counsel to ultra high net worth individuals. Prior to founding Sentinel, Mark was a Partner and Managing Director of the Washington, D.C., office of a large financial advisory firm with several billion dollars under management.
With Mark’s 20+ years of experience in financial planning, his expertise has been recognized throughout the financial services industry. Mark has been listed as a top financial advisor in publications such as Washingtonian magazine, Northern Virginia Magazine and the Washington Business Journal. In addition to being published in The Journal of Financial Planning, Mark has been quoted by many media outlets including, the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, Money Magazine, USA Today, Kiplinger’s Finance magazine and US News and World Report.
Mark is involved in the community, consulting with and serving on the Boards of Directors for various non-profit organizations. When not crunching numbers, you might run into him at a Nationals game, local comedy show or country music concert. Mark, his wife Karen and their three children live in Herndon, Virginia.
With over a decade of experience, Trent enjoys helping families become good stewards of their resources. He has found that money can create added complexity and has spent his career helping clients navigate these issues.
Trent received his undergraduate education at the U.S. Naval Academy, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. Upon graduation, he completed nuclear power training and served as a submarine officer. He then worked in the Navy’s Global War on Terror policy office at the Pentagon while completing his Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) certification through Georgetown University.
Trent began his financial advisory career at a multi-family office in Northern Virginia, providing holistic financial planning for ultra-affluent clients. Prior to joining Sentinel, Trent was a wealth manager with a national financial services company, providing personalized financial planning for high net worth clients. He excels at developing a plan to provide for clients, their families, and causes that are important to them.
Trent resides in Falls Church, Virginia, with his wife Ashley and their two daughters. He enjoys waterskiing, snow skiing, and attending Navy football games with his family. He serves on several boards at church and is the treasurer and secretary of the McLean Little League. Trent also coaches his daughter’s Little League softball team, which won the 8-10 year old Little League Softball State Championship in 2017.
Tito earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Virginia Tech. He is currently in the process of earning a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) certification through Boston University.
Tito is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations that are critical to helping Sentinel fulfill its mission to serve its clients, including coordination and oversight of trading, compliance, client data and office technology.
Tito enjoys spending time with his family, watching sports, and fixing things. He resides in Leesburg, Virginia, with his wife Marci and their four children.
Kelley joined the firm in 2004 with over 10 years of executive administrative experience. During her 10+ years with the firm she has built excellent relationships with our clients. Her detailed knowledge of each client’s goals allows her to excel in the role of Client Services Manager.
Kelley is an anchor of the Sentinel team. She is the primary liaison between our clients, advisors and custodial firms. She manages client workflow, coordinates client services as well overseeing marketing initiatives and events.
Kelley attended George Mason University. She enjoys volunteering at her local church, traveling/hiking, and family beach vacations. Kelley lives in Centreville, Virginia, and has two grown children.
Meridith serves at Sentinel as a Client Service Assistant. In her role, Meridith provides support to the Sentinel team and clients by working on special projects, marketing initiatives and assisting with client services.
Meridith brings a strong organizational and interpersonal background to our team, serving clients with her attention to detail, team spirit and warm personality. She also started her own professional organizing business and has over 15 years of experience in human resources.
Meridith loves music, and quality time with family and friends. She resides in Potomac Falls, Virginia, with her husband Michael and two children.
